I am a long standing patient of this practice who are now under new ownership. I was unnecessarily booked in as an emergency when I made it clear I was not in pain and just needed a smoothing of a broken filling which had previously been deemed unfillable. The receptionist had unnecessarily booked me as an emergency appointment without advising me of it and that I would be charged £150 for that alone. If you are not in pain or it can wait, make sure you are not booked as an emergency.

We are very sorry to read you were not satisfied when you previously visited the practice. For any non-NHS patients who come for a non-standard / emergency appointment the standard fee is set at £150. For our registered NHS patients this would be different and based on the standard NHS banding system. Where a difference in the treatment required is highlighted by the dentist this fee may then be adjusted to reflect the treatment then completed. The reception team are not able to advise clinically so this would not have been possible for them to adjust at that the time of your call.
