I have been a patient at this practice since 2014. I had toothache before christmas & had an emergency appointment & the dentist recommended a follow up appointment. I went to the desk to arrange & was told they couldn't do it then but would send me an appointment. I called on Friday (because I'd not heard from them) only to be told they had taken me off the books because I'd missed 2 appointments. The latest one was for follow up & they'd sent me a text which I hadn't received - I'd had toothache. Why would I not want to get ot sorted out?! The person I spoke to was completely unsympathetic - kept saying theer was nothing she could do, they'd sent me a text when we know that sending a text is no guarantee it was read or even received. She also said I'd missed an appointment back in June. I cancelled this appointment because I was stuck in Leeds after a train cancellation so I may have cancelled at short notice but I didn't just not turn up. I can't believe they would take me off their books without letting me know & appeal the decision, it seems really unfair. I'm now in the position of having to look for another NHS dentist which as we know will be almost impossible to find.

After a check up it was recommended to have front cosmetic work. This was carried out expeditiously I am happy with the results

Absolutely shocking service! I have booked an appointment twice now for late in the evening as I work at market rasen in Lincolnshire. I booked my appointment at 17:40. In order for me to not to miss my appointment I have had to travel in my own vehicle to work and made arrangements with my manager to finish work at 3 o’clock not 4:14 as usual. I then receive a phone call at 11:45 stating that I had to get to hoyland dental practice earlier because the dentist I was seeing wasn’t going to be there after 5pm because of Ramadan. If this was so then why book my appointment for 5:40? I have a huge phobia of dentist in the first place and this was made aware the first time I visited the practice. I’ve put £40 of diesel in my car and not got in the works van and also left my partner without a car for the day. All to be cancelled due to something what is no fault of mine. When speaking to the receptionist she was very rude and cocky. She didn’t appreciate my situation or what inconvenience they had caused me. I would definitely not recommend this dentist. Avoid like the plague. I’d sooner knock my teeth out with an hammer than go here again. Complete waste of time. Shocking and fuming

A good dental practice in all but if you want to make an appointment its pretty much impossible I have been trying for 4 days at different times to get through to no avail!!!!

I’ve had a tooth extracted today I was very nervous. However the dentist, dental nurse and receptionist were all so friendly. I would like to thank the dentist for explaining everything to me
