Review titled Disappointing, useless reception staff

Took my son in for check up in November, the dentist was meant to make a referral to the hospital for him to have tooth extraction (which orthopaedic asked for), receptionist took photo copy of the letter. Called on (3/4/23) for updated, to be told that referral has not been done and they can’t find the letter. Now have to wait for another 6 months. This is not right as now my son has to wait for a whole year. The receptionist wasn’t even willing to look into this.

I have been going to this practice for over 10 years. Last time was 2018, was going back in 2020 but with Covid-19 etc I couldn’t go. Now I am being told that as I haven’t been to the practice in 3 years they will only offer me a private slot. They were supposed to phone me after asking their supervisor, but no call. I am absolutely disappointed and disgusted

The staff were very gentle with me as I have a history of being afraid of dental work,the dentist was very helpful and the treatment was very quick and I was made completely at ease,I would highly recommend this practice to anyone, they were great.
