I've been a patient of this dental clinic for over 10 years with generally good oral health, usually only visiting annually for cleanings. However, in late February, a filling that was 22 years old disappeared overnight. I promptly scheduled an appointment at Cobbins', where they replaced the filling. Four months later, the new filling fell out inexplicably. When I called the clinic, frustrated about the short lifespan of the filling, they simply dismissed it as something that "happens". I was given another appointment, but upon leaving was told I had to pay, as NHS coverage only lasts up to three months. I was extremely displeased with this. Regardless of what the NHS dictates, a true professional should stand behind their work. If a simple filling on a healthy tooth, in a non-problematic area, only lasts four months compared to the decade-long average lifespan of my other fillings, that's unacceptable. I asked to be removed from their list, but they failed to inform me that this also meant being unregistered as an NHS patient. Two days later, the filling fell out again, but now they refuse to fix it because I had myself removed from their list! Their professional ethics are seriously lacking. I can't recommend them even for simple procedures, let alone more complex ones, especially if things go wrong...

I had a huge molar filling carried out today. The dentist was very gentle and kept me informed as to what was going on at all times. I experienced no pain and they were very quick and efficient so that I didn't spend any unnecessary time in the chair.
