    I telephoned to book an appointment as I have started to feel discomfort in a heavily filled tooth and do not want it to progress to toothache. I was informed that no appointment could be offered to me as 7 Dentists had left the practice and unfortunately my Dentist was one of them. The 4 remaining dentists have a full patient list and no appointments are available unless I am in extreme pain. I asked about an appointment at a practice at another location and was again refused, the reason being that Burgess and Hyder had been sold and the new Dentist is very strict. I think that all patients should have been notified of the changes within the practice after being a loyal patient for over 20 years. I find myself in an impossible situation as no other NHS dentists are taking on patients at the moment and the likely outcome of my situation is that I am going to end up with extreme toothache and having to phone 111. Had I been aware of the situation at the Practice I could have registered at another practice. Is there any advice for other patients in my position?
