I'm 68yrs old. My mother was given antibiotics when expecting me so my first teeth were black and green. My terror of dentists started there. I have been coming to this practice for 15yrs. The fantastic lead dentist has always been wonderful with me. She even has someone telling an exciting story to distract me. Last Friday I needed an extraction. Even tho really nervous it went fantastically well. No pain, no wiggling, no tugging and no pain from the wound later in the day. A perfect experience. For ME to have that shows she's good. (And the surgery doesn't smell like a traditional dentist's either, which all helps.).And the receptionist chats gently while you're waiting, if he is encouraged, and is warm,witty and reassuring. Fear of dentists? Me? Not so much now I have never experienced any pain in the 15yrs I've been going there.

The service, when you get it, is fine. However I have had so many terrible experiences with this practice communication wise. Once we waited 50 minutes despite me giving our names, and were told they forgot to sign us in (possibly my fault for waiting so long and not checking sooner) they frequently cancel appointments, which I totally understand. However today I turned up at the rescheduled time (as per my email) to be told my children had a their appointment 30 mins prior so I had missed it. It was a time I never would have booked due to school run etc however they were not apologetic, which is a shame. Mistakes do happen I fully realise but accusing me of getting the time wrong and so many cancellations etc is just too much
