Today (26/04/22) I arrived at the centre for the first time for a physio appointment just before 9am. It was my first physio appointment, having waited since early March for the appointment- it was the first available appointment. Having not been to the centre before and not having received any letters re. Where to go, I went to the reception desk on the right hand side of the main entrance. I said I had a physio appointment and asked where to go. The receptionist (a lady) said there was no physio in the building and that this situation had a occurred many times recently on Tuesdays. She informed me I needed to go to the Riverside practice in Retford and the physio was there. I then rushed back to the car and to the Riverside. When I arrived there and told the receptionist I had a physio appointment she told me to sit and wait. I waited nearly an hour before querying the name of the physio and remembering it was not the name I had written in my calendar (noted at the time of booking the appointment over the phone with the Bassetlaw/DRI physio dept). When I was able to this afternoon I rang the main physio dept number only to be informed I had not turned up for my appointment and the physio was in fact in the Retford primary care centre building. I now have to wait until 9th June for an appointment - the next available appointment. I am so disappointed and annoyed about what happened at reception this morning and would like to place that on record. The receptionist made a significant error and has delayed the start of my treatment which I’ve already been waiting many weeks for.
