    I read the reviews here but didn’t really pay a huge amount of attention as this clinic is local and convenient to me. I wish I had listened to them more closely. I called ahead to let the clinic know I was stuck in a little traffic but was on my way to my appointment. I wanted to be considerate and it was still 10 minutes before my time. The receptionist was very unhelpful and said she would see if the nurse would stay a little longer. I was anticipating being 2-3 minutes late. When I got to the appointment (two minutes early) the nurse was stood at the door tapping her foot at me. I wasn’t even late! She was brutal with taking my bloods and I didn’t even have a chance to say I was quite nervous about having my blood taken. She didn’t speak to me throughout the whole appointment other than to check my details. My arm is very sore and will certainly bruise. I was made to seem like a nuisance despite the fact I’d done everything in my power to be the opposite of that. Would not recommend going here, especially if you’re a little nervous like I am. I really felt unwelcome.

    Very rude woman and the most painful blood test I’ve ever had, none of my blood tests ever hurt like that. No compassion, very impolite and unprofessional.

    We arrived exactly 12 mins late for our appointment after a horrendous journey. Sat nav took us to wrong place and school traffic was slow..I took my son out of school 45 mins early for this appointment and have waited a month for the appointment. We arrived, receptionist had gone home, last patient just exited room and said the nurse would be out shortly. 5 mins later nurse came out. I apologised for being late. Nurse said it was too late and had packed up her bag. Totally unsympathetic and a bit rude. We could hear her for the 5 mins we waited and she definitely heard us as we sat right outside the room. She was obviously in a rush to get home. Our appointment was 15.25 we left the clinic at 15.41. I would interested to know when the nurse was due to finish.

    I had a blood test at this very friendly practice. The receptionist was polite and welcoming and the phlebotomy nurse experienced, efficient and helpful. I will certainly return if I need further tests. Thank you

    Very pleasant lady took my blood today. Had trouble finding a vein, but didn’t hurt me as she searched for one. Nice friendly manner. The practice itself was very clean and well ordered

  6. Review titled Awful People Skills!

    What an awful experience! After arriving for my appointment approximately 3 minutes before my appointment time (with a nurse sorting out her blood bottles in the cupboard), I was met by a very rude nurse who seemed very indignant and complained she had already called me! I asked if she called me by phone as I hadn’t removed any missed call. She said no I called you here. I explained I was confused as my appointment was not until 12:50 (and bearing in mind no one else was in the waiting room so I am unsure why she would call someone when the room was empty). She looked at her watch and said it’s 12:51. I replied saying I arrived at 12:47 whilst she sorted out the bottles and I am not sure what the problem was as I wasn’t late. She ignored me and continued to be rude and abrasive and quite frankly made me more anxious about having a blood test (particularly by someone who clearly wasn’t happy that I arrived on time for my appointment). I will not be recommending people go here.

    My daughter had her first blood-test at this clinic and I was extremely disappointed, even in the waiting area, the lady came out, head down to get something from a cupboard she didn’t look up at us, I had to say “ good morning” so when we went in I explained to the lady how nervous she was and basically there was no kindness there or reassurance, when my daughter started to get upset after the band went round her arm, she said” I can’t force the lady to have it done, pulled the band off (not very gently I may add) and said I’m on a very strict 5 minute appointments, you are better of taking her to the plaza, my daughter was in tears by now, but I honestly believe if there was some kindness and reassurance , things would have been different, she may have had the blood test, I totally get the lady had to stick to her timings, my job also has strict timings, however, no matter what, we should always treat others with respect and kindness, and this lady failed in both

    My only regret is that I have not used this clinic sooner. How refreshing that everything runs on time and that appointments are very well organised whilst at the same time providing a welcoming and nurturing experience. Parking is provided on site which is most convenient and patients are called in at the time they have been given or even slightly sooner if there is time availability. The highly skilled nurse who took the blood samples was friendly and pleasant and highly efficient so that there was minimal, if any, discomfort. This is not typical of other clinics I have used. I noticed a previous complaining review which I find unacceptably negative. The fact is that some people do not stick to appointment times and are happy to throw out the whole system selfishly and thoughtlessly based on the assumption that the whole world revolves around them. Tough luck, it doesn’t. Thank you, Hadleigh clinic, I have just booked a further test at the request of my GP. No one looks forward to blood tests of course but if you have to have them done, this is the best place to choose.
