I rang at 9am to.ask for an appointment for my 2 year old to which I was told even foe a 2 year old there's no appointments, rang back later on and he had to put down as an emergency appointment as his condition was quite bad!! How can you possibly refuse a baby!!!

Attended appointment plus follow up appointment on 17th and 24th Jan 2023. Very happy with the Service and with the Doctor who treated me. Receptionists very helpful and accommodating and friendly. The Doctor was kind, friendly and supportive and I felt very confident in his care. I recommend this practice.

  3. Review titled Appalling ...

Rated 1 star out of 5

We have a 14-year-old with a rare kidney disorder. We phoned at 8am this morning due to her being in acute pain and finally got through at 8:20am. The receptionist was most unhelpful, resulting in the offer of an appointment at 4:15pm in a surgery we've never been to before, 8.9 miles away from where we live! I appreciate that Drs are under immense pressure and are the butt of blame, but at times one has to be introspective and accept at least a degree of personal responsibility. The service levels at Buckshaw Village Surgery are appalling and have been for a long time now. There is a complete absence of patient care, no patient continuity, and a total absence of patient empathy. Someone really needs to get a grip!!! So appalled was I, I politely requested a call back from the Practice Manager, who doesn't start till 9am. I requested this as a priority, underlining the request as urgent. It's now 16:48 and I haven't had the courtesy of a call back. There are ongoing and systematic failures at Buckshaw Surgery that haven't been resolved for such a long time, that ineptitude and an absence of any professional standards has become the norm. If you want a surgery that cares, that has your health and welfare at heart, please avoid Buckshaw Surgery. As I write, we have had to pick my daughter up from school early as we were offered only one appointment time, it's @ 9 miles from where we live, and we were given the incorrect surgery details, so my wife has had to detour. Appalling, appalling, appalling!!! We're sick of being overlooked and mistreated. If this was any other profession or any other business, it would have been closed down! Just not good enough, by a country mile.
