We needed to arrange care at short notice for my mum over the holiday period and Bluebird Care provided an excellent and high quality service. All of the staff who supported us were helpful, friendly and so kind. Not only did they respond promptly to our needs but they also helped us work out what support would suit us best. We are so grateful for their help and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

The team at Bluebird Burnham have been fantastic! All staff are very professional and efficient and I finally feel supported as Mum's primary carer. Sadly the previous care company supplied by Social Services let mum down badly. I can now relax knowing Mum is fed at every visit – food that is edible and hot meals, also her meds are always given, her home clean and tidy, bed changed, washing put on. Carers put her bed clothes out for her, open and close curtains etc. as she has very experienced, well trained, friendly carers who make her feel safe, cared for and happy. It makes such a difference to have experienced Carers who know what they are doing, and empathy so can see Mum's needs and act accordingly. The difference in Mum is amazing, she's so much happier... I can also relax knowing she's being looked after really well. Being supported by a decent team I no longer feel 'everything is on me', as I know I can just call if additional help is needed. Thank you Bluebird!

Bluebird provided both care visits and live in care for my mother over a long period of time. They deserve a good review because the carer who looked after my mother in the last few years superb; very caring, professional, reliable and dependable, using her own initiative to solve many day to day problems. My mother forged a real relationship with her. Bluebird themselves, are very expensive, certainly at the upper range. What you pay for is the continuity of care provision and I am not sure how much better Bluebird are at this than other agencies. At times they seemed much more focused on profit than anything else. Some of the short-term carers they provided we unsuitable - from smoking inside the house, speaking little English, unsuited to the care profession, or spending too much time on their mobile phones (like 24 hours a day). At times I wondered how vetted the carers were. However, I do appreciate the challenges the industry faces in terms of recruitment. That said, Bluebird have always been very prompt to reply to concerns and have always been easy to contact - which is very important and they are a personable and friendly team. They have also been very helpful in sourcing mobility improvements for the house and offering assistance during hospital discharges and GP visits. I also felt that, despite the evident focus on profit, the team who managed our account were very caring and had a genuine rapport with and affection for my mother.
