I just wanted to thank the manager and all the staff for the wonderful care they took of my mum . Whilst mum was only there a few months the staff quickly worked out her fun personality and love of banter and made her stay there so happy. She passed way on 1st May aged 92 . She had dementia and the staff knew exactly how to treat her and get the best out of her . She quickly got to know that she could call out as they were passing her room and they would always stop for a chat which she loved as she had been lonely when she was living at home on her own before coming to the home in January. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff even cooking her food she wanted out of the meal times . They encouraged her to join in the entertainment at the home laid on each day but respected when she preferred to stay in her room and chill. The home is homely and welcoming and all the staff are so friendly and eager to assist in any way they can. The manager went to great lengths to decorate mums room and provide or assist in getting furniture and stuff in her room to make it cozy for mum and feel like she was at home. The home has its own doctors surgery they use that visit once a week and they were very caring and kept on top of mums health issues. I live over an hours journey away but the home kept me up to day all the time on any issues or if mum was not feeling well and I felt that I could relax knowing she was being taken great care of and was very happy . Considering she had always said she didn’t want to go in a home , I can’t express how happy it was to see her settle in so quickly and feel like she was actually at home . I would highly recommend the home and the Manager and all the team if you are looking for a home for your loved one.
