  1. Review titled Lovely people!

Rated 5 stars out of 5

On 2nd February my husband suffered a stroke at Plymouth Theater Royal, we arrived quickly by ambulance to Derriford Hospital and the Stroke Team were waiting. He received instant treatment and we cannot fault his care. Unfortunately I cannot remember the names of all the lovely people who dealt with him but just to say how grateful we are. He was transferred to RD&E Exeter after 5 days and is now home and making excellent progress. So a big thank you to all concerned.

  2. Review titled Grateful for a good service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I had to take a friend to the MIU where we felt well looked after and welcome. All staff including security was kind, professional and helpful. When attending the hospital 2 days later again all staff engaged in very personally with us to in spite of a very busy clinic that wad running late. We were kept updated about waiting times and staff displayed no stress even when dealing with disgruntled patients. Thank you so much for your dedication and hard work.

  3. Review titled Caring staff

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Emma - Posted on 18 December 2022

Despite spending 53 hours in ED waiting for a bed before moving to MAU Thrushel, I cannot fault the incredible care from the staff. Derriford are under unbelievable strain through no fault of their own. ED was so busy they almost broke their record for the busiest ever shift! Even though they were busy it did not stop the staff from the care and attention they gave. Once I moved to Thrushel the fantastic care continued especially 3 lovely staff who went above and beyond the care I received. Our government needs to treat NHS staff with the outstanding appreciation they truly deserves!

Many thanks Emma for your kind feedback, despite your long wait in the Emergency Department. I have forwarded your kind words to both teams in ED and Thrushel who will gratefully appreciate the time you have taken to do this. I hope you are recovering well. 4. Review titled Hot Chocolate and Croissants

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was admitted to your hospital for an operation a few days ago and am now at home almost fully recovered. All I can say is that at every stage I was met with nothing but care compassion and dedication. From the anesthetist and surgeon (who I saw very little of) through the Freedom ward after surgery. The nurses there deserve special praise ..no names.. I am extremely grateful for the treatment I received at the hands of such a special national organisation. I realise that although I am just one of many who pass through and are quickly forgotten I will remember the care I was shown. Thank you

I would like to express my gratitude for the treatment I received from the staff of the Majors Ward recently. Everyone was so caring and helpful, despite the fact that the ward was so very busy. My huge thanks to all. Mike Anning, Saltash

  6. Review titled Excellent care

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Visited A&E with concussion and was seen by a nurse practitioner in the Minor Injuries unit very promptly. Very impressed by the thorough examination, full explanations and level of consideration shown. Could not have asked for better care and so would like to thank the staff for their considerable efforts. In such a pressurised environment you manage to deliver excellent patient care. Many thanks from a grateful patient.
