Warm bananas and yoghurt recipe

A crafty way to get the kids to eat more fruit!

Per serving (with 1 tablespoon of low-fat yoghurt)

  • 720kJ / 172kcal
  • 4g protein
  • 26g carbohydrate, of which 24g sugars
  • 6g fat, of which 3g saturates
  • 1g fibre
  • 0.1g salt
Sliced bananas with orange zest and yoghurt

Ingredients

  • 20g low-fat spread
  • 4 ripe bananas, peeled and sliced into diagonal chunks
  • zest and juice of 1 orange
  • 4 tablespoons low-fat Greek-style natural yoghurt

Method

  1. Heat a non-stick frying pan over a medium-low heat and add the low-fat spread.

  2. Add the banana pieces and fry gently for 2 minutes. Add the orange juice and cook for another 30 to 40 seconds. Sprinkle with the grated orange zest.

    Information:

    Take care not to overcook the bananas, or else they will go very mushy.

  3. Divide into bowls and top each portion with 1 tablespoon of low-fat Greek yoghurt.
