ONE FOR THE BOYS
HAS CANCER TOUCHED YOU?

- I lost my biological father...
- ANTHONY ANDERSON, ACTOR

..two of his sisters
and a brother all to cancer.

- A friend of mine Gareth...
- JAMIE BAMBER, ACTOR

..who was married to my godfather's
daughter sadly died a few years back

and left a young son.

He went from being fully healthy
as far as we knew

to unfortunately not with us any more
in a matter of months

and it was truly shocking
and it did start with testicular cancer

that he wasn't aware of.

- RICHARD ROUNDTREE, ACTOR
- Breast cancer is not gender-specific.

When I went through my episode,

the realisation of that was
quite shocking.

I know that breast cancer does
affect men and people think it doesn't.

And I know it's quite common.
It's not as rare as you'd think.

Up until, like, three or four years ago,

they projected something like 2200 men
would die from breast cancer.

That is largely because of
the knowledge.

I say when I talk to men
about health issues,

we as men have this cavalier attitude
about our health issues.

We take better care of our automobiles
than we do our health issues.
