Pregnancy and baby

Pregnancy due date calculator

The calculator on this page can help you work out when you might expect your baby to arrive. This will give you a rough idea. As part of your antenatal care, your midwife will also offer you a dating scan that will give you a more accurate date for the birth of your baby.

Pregnancy normally lasts from 37 weeks to 42 weeks from the first day of your last period. To find your due date, use the drop down menus below to enter the date of the first day of your last period, and click 'calculate date' - the calculator will do the rest.

Due Date Calculator

Some women's cycles are not exactly 28 days. If your cycle is shorter or longer than 28 days, please adjust the number below.

If you would like to save your due date, you will need to log in or create an NHS Choices account - you can do this in the box below.

Creating an NHS Choices account will also allow you to write and save your birth plan online.

In fact google 10 week fetus, then 14 week fetus and even you will see a massive difference, trust your ultrasound, mine said baby was 3 days younger than my lmp dates, so if they can tell the difference in 3 days, i really dont think you have anything to worry about

Hi, It must be hard to have that bit of doubt, but you are most likely to be the father, ovulation takes place around 2 weeks after lmp and the egg only survives for a day, sperm however can live for upto 7 days so the other fellas sperm would have had to survive 4 weeks for him to be the father. However there is a small chance that the last guy got there on the last ovulation and your girlfriend had a period following this, but if it was a real period the womb lining would have been shredded and the baby aborted, there are always rare cases though and if your girlfriends period was not a period but an early pregnancy bleed, then there is a chance that itsh is. But judging by the dates from the scan, I would say congratulations Daddy, as the sonergrapher can tell the difference in a few days development never mind 4 weeks

.... Please can someone put my mind at rest, I am so excited to be a father but the thought of our little girl being someone elses baby is making me ill. Would the ultrasound have put her a few weeks ahead if the baby was not mine ?

Hi I have an issue regarding paternity. My girlfriend is pregnant and I need to be sure that I am the father. Her lmp was 23rd october 2011 but her cycle is irregular. She had sex with another guy 2 weeks before this date on 8th october as we had split up and then had sex with me after this date from november the 1st onwards. She had an ultrasound on 3rd jan 2012 saying she was exactly 10 weeks pregnant and was given a due date of 31st july 2012. Is it possible that the other guy could be the father (I realy hope not!)

HI wondering if anyone can help me, I had my periods on 23rd april took a clear blue pregnancy test 3 days ago and it says im 3+ weeks pregnant, but on the box it says that if it comes up 3+ weeks on the test the doctor would work out im 5+ weeks. Which would mean I was pregnant during my last period, is it possible to have a period when pregnant? Xx

Hi, I am 42 and currently 15 weeks pregnant. I suffered a still birth many years ago and a miscarriage last year and now for some reason I keep feeling that something is going to go wrong. It is ruining my pregnancy experience, I have another 5 weeks before I get a scan and I just cant stop worrying!

Hi Lolaknows,
Congratulations on your pregnancy.
A woman's pregnancy is dated from the first day of her last period. In women with a regular menstrual cycle, the last period usually happens around two weeks before she actually gets pregnant (at the time of ovulation). So when we talk about a woman being eight weeks pregnant, she actually conceived six weeks ago. I hope this helps. If you are still confused, do talk to your midwife, who will be able to go through the dates with you.

Hi,

I am a currently pregnant, first time mom!.. and i have a few queries which have been stressing me out really bad.

First of all i do not know my LMP as i am so irregular and can go months without a period. I had my first ultrasound scan on February 9th which stated i was 11w4days. So when worked out would have taken me back to November 19th/20th 2011. Would this be my LMP? Does the ultrasound just assume this?. The only problem being the only time i had unprotected sex was around December 3rd-4th 2011? i was just curious as to why the ultrasound had dated me 2 weeks prior to be having sex and me not knowing my LMP.

First ultrasound - 9th Feb 2012 = 11w4d
Second Ultrasound - 12th April 2012 = 20w4d
Due Date - 26th August 2012

Could someone please help me as to how this is all calculated as i am desperate and stressed to know

Today on 1st May 2012 = 23w2Days

I had a miscarriage before having my first baby. I remember that my cycle was absolutely screwed up afterwards with cycles from 14 days to 40 days! But that doesn't mean that you aren't still fertile. My sister-in-law conceived quickly after a miscarriage so that, like you, she was left confused and unsure as what was happening. She is now well into her 2nd trimester.

As Anadd said in the post previous to yours, this dating based on your last period is only an estimate. Once you have your dating scan, that due date is revised.

Since what is considered full term varies from 38 to 42 weeks, I wouldn't worry about what exactly your due date is as baby comes when baby is ready anyway!

Congratulations and get yourself booked in with your midwife!

Hi, just wondered if any one could give me advise.
I had a miscarriage back in Feb, and had a period in March which was longer and heavier than my normal period but I was told this was expected for the first period after a miscarriage so I thought my periods were back on track.
I was due on a few days ago, we did a test today and it says I am 2-3 weeks pregnant so in fact im 4-5 weeks and the baby is due in December. Is this correct? Surely my cycle would have changed due to my miscarriage and longer period.
I am slightly confused. Does any one know?

thanks!

Expecting87 all i know is count from the first day of your last period but you are actually conceived after your period when it was due ovulation. so it should minus 2 weeks. does it make sense?

because it dose not mean you conceived on the first day or your period, it just start counting from it but when you conceived, it should be in later day after you finish your period and near ovulation where the eggs release.

hope it helps

Hi
I had my first scan this week at which I was told my due date is 17th September and I'm over 13 weeks gone!
How is this calculated I have read lots of eyesores saying its taken from first day of last period which would make my last period 12th December which seems about right to me but have never been regular so can't remember exactly.
My issue is that the first time I slept with my partner was 11 weeks ago Monday 26th December which is 14days after the day yey are dating my pregnancy from
Is this right? Just need some reassurance because obviously my partner is thinking hang on that's before we did anything!?

I am 40 and have been told that it will be difficult to get pregnant. Last month I went to the A&E as I found my belly in pain, I felt so tired and especially my breasts, it was so sore, so big and heavy. The doctor did the urine test and said I was not pregnant and in fact I've got some infection and gave me some antibiotic. So, I thought everything fine after the medication but my breasts are still like a melon and so sore, I was panicking that I have breast cancer. Today, I went to the near walk in centre to see the nurse, she did a urine test for me, I thought , it probably will be an other infection or something, but she told me the test result was positive. I was, What? What is positive mean?( I was so shocked! ) she said, you are pregnant. look there are 2 lines!

I use the due date calculator, it said I am 4 weeks pregnant, but I went to the A&E last month after my period and took antibiotic, will it harm my baby? or maybe I should do more test to make sure I am really pregnant?

by the way, the due date calculator told me my due date and that is my birthday !!! hahaha

worriedgirl!

Stop worrying, I'm in the same boat but two weeks behind. My GP was very understanding and initially only asked me to start taking folic acid, and we discussed reducing my meds. It was pretty much the same with the midwife, who gave me a load of leaflets and info - tho a lot of it will be what you've read on here already!

My only advice is to have someone to talk to that you trust, and if there isn't anyone make sure you get to the midwife and talk to her, because you'll need someone to offload to!

Hello everyone, I wondered if anyone would be able to give me any advice.

I have just found out I am pregnant for the first time, and It works out that I am 9 weeks pregnant. I am pretty worried as I am also suffering with depression, so haven't really been looking after myself as well as I should, so am worried this might have had a knock on effect. Could someone tell me what happens when you go to the doctors for the first time, what happens next kind of thing?. Also do you get given some sort of pregnancy book or is this down to me to get?.

This would be great news at any other time but I am so worried my baby won't be healthy and I know its not the kind of thing I could find out, so I am worried my hand might be forced into doing something I don't really want to do, but I wouldn't want to have the baby then forever hate myself if there is something wrong.

Sorry to ramble on, please don't judge me I am sure someone out there can understand my worry?. Thank you so much for reading and responding if you do.

Hi everyone. I did a pregnancy test on Valentines Day which showed positive after having missed my period and had sore breasts. Since then I've done another 4 tests, all showed positive as I do not believe I am pregnant. My other 2 pregnancies over 12 years ago, I got morning sickness but apart from swollen breasts and slight nausea, I do not feel pregnant. Using the NHS direct due date calculator I am 8 weeks pregnant. Also I am having trouble getting a date for my 12 week scan which would prove or disprove whether I am pregnant or not. I also have had lower back pain for months which is continuing on and off now, so I am worried maybe I am not pregnant but it's something else like Cancer. What do you guys think?

Dear BUNINTHEOVEN,
I think that you have decided not to lean under the pressure of your partner is very admirable. You are entitled to make this decision for your own benefit and that of your child.
Although you may find your situation uneasy and beyond what you expacted I think you have had a lucky escape. People show their true colours when their idea of normal is challenged and if this is how he will react when thngs happen out of the blue you've had a lucky escape.

It is possible that he has gone into blind panic and feels so out of control he feels trapped. I think if you have a good support network from your family and friends everything will be fine. Let him simmer down and realise that this isn't going away and is actually a special gift. If he chooses to move on then you know you he wasn't worth having in the beginning. Enjoy your pregnancy and the baby to come. It will be the best gift you ever received and you will live knowing you did what was right for you.

Well done you and very good luck!

The babys father did not want another at the time even though he already had 2 girls asked me to have an abortion or threatened to leave me. As much as I love him there was no real choice there and I just accepted that I would be a single mam but no matter what wouldnt be doing it on my own I have a lot of friends and family around me to help. He has since changed his mind and wants to be involved with the baby just a shame he didnt put through what he did or we might have still been together, however im not stopping him being there and I hope he sticks to his word.

obviously it is my body and ultimately my decision and i am keeping the baby and am really excited about it
however i cannot understand where all his behaviour has come from he is not usually like this
so really i am just looking for some words of wisdom to help with my conflicting emotions as i am ecstatic about my little peanut but am devestated that my love hass abandoned me :(

Marey an internet questionnaire cannot determine whether you are pregnant or not, it can only recognize symptoms, and every woman could have different symptoms at different times, the only way to be 100% sure is by taking a pregnancy test, however sometimes a negative result can be wrong whereas a posotive one is almost always reliable. Try taking another test - I imagine you have by now as your post was a couple of weeks ago - but to the rest of you out there if your tests are negative and you still think you might be pregnant, then visit your GP and tell them your situation and he or she will most likely give you a blood test as this is more sensetive to the hormones released when pregnant and will for sure give you a definite answer. God bless you all :)

To Marie23

I had a miscarriage in May and was told that my cycle should arrive at about 6 weeks after the miscarriage although mine was actually a bit later than that. Your HCG levels should come back down to normal after 3 weeks so if your cycle has not arrived and it's been over 3 weeks a test should be accurate. The best advice i would give is if its been longer than 3 weeks since the miscarriage take a test and it should hopefully show up correctly but if you are still not sure contact your doctors x good luck

Hi ladies, I am not one of you, I am an expectant dad, my wife of almost 24 years is approx 12 weeks pregnant with our eight child, (and yes I do work and support all my children without state aid before someone suggest I get a tv)my wife won't go to the docs /midwife to register as our beautiful son, who was our sixth very sadly died the week he was due to be born, this effected us both tremendously which I am sure you guys can understand . Our seventh child was subsequently a nerve wrecking episode, but thankfully was fine, my wife wanted one more as there was a seven year age gab between the youngest , now almost three and the next child.I love kids and my wife is a great mum, so we started trying, had a miscarriage in January of this year and fell again in June.
Where I need some advice is this, my wife has sworn me to secrecy, she is 46 and in great shape, but at an age where she should need closer supervision, she won't have any medical intervention.
Any more mature mums out there who can advise me, at this rate I think I will need to get up to speed on delivery proceedres!!!!
Sorry for winging, but hey, I am a bloke

Congratulations to User588628...I too am 39. Have just found out I'm four weeks pregnant (based on first day of last period) with my first . I'm in bed, trying to think of ways to reduce my stress levels. I had a myomectomy last year to remove fibroids but in January this year found out I have a couple of small ones on my left so off to the docs tomorrow to just talk through how we manage things. I know they may say see how the next few weeks go but I just want to make sure I get into the 'system so they can keep a close eye on things. I'm trying to think that whatever will be will be but my age, the fibroids and I'm overweight are all things that are causing me a little worry. Nice to be able to get this off my chest here as although husband very supportive, he doesn't fully understand how overwhelming it can be to in this situation and I don't want to tell friends of family yet. To all the newly pregnant ladies, I wish you the best and I pray that things go well for me and my little one too of course!

I'm lying here in bed in shock! Partner away - been feeling unwell for a few weeks, headaches, tired and short of breath. Didn't even occur to me that I might be pregnant until I thought (in the middle of another sleepless night) I better rule it out before I go to the doctors.... Did test, am 3 weeks pregnant. I am 39 and have 2 children age 13 and 9 by a previous relationship- we had given up really, not used contraception for 3 years, had an early miscarriage last summer and since then not been living well really, drinking too much etc - god, can't believe it. Not holding out too much hope for full term but at least I've caught it early, shall be healthy from now on!! I can't believe I thought my symptoms were stress or illness - I've been having such a hard time recently, money problems, work stress, arguing like cat and dog! This is really a bolt from the blue, I didn't consider it....just had to share! X

Wow – a lot of unanswered questions on here, I hope if people don’t get answers they go elsewhere. Rather than worrying whether you are or aren’t pregnant just do a test – no one on here can say yes or no. I used a super cheap supermarket one. If you’re getting negative tests then maybe it’s too early to be testing or you’ve drunk too much liquid or you’ve not used the first wee of the day. Doctors don’t usually test you when you have your first appointment to say you’re pregnant as the tests they use are as effective as the over the counter ones these days, with my first child the doctor simply made sure I was transferred to midwife care, spoke to me about healthy eating, exercise, folic acid, smoking and alcohol and saw me off on my merry way. As a low risk pregnancy I didn’t see my midwife much but if there are no problems that’s fine – let your body do the work. Goodness knows why the clearblue test is different to the standard week measurement (as starting from the day of conception gives you a standard 40 week human gestation), it’s clearly confused a lot of you.

I was worried by the post about a boyfriend who’d rather a new car than a baby – will this be his attitude when his child is born? It sounds like he is too immature and selfish to be ready for fatherhood.

Of course you can have sex while pregnant (unless advised otherwise by midwife or doctor if you have a conditional like placenta previa or an incompetent cervix) – it’s the ideal time to celebrate your changing body, to be close to your partner and to stay normal!!! (It can be better too due to an increase in the amount of blood in that area!) And I’m making the most of it now as sex was out of the question for a fair old while after my first child – do it while you’re pregnant as afterwards you’re likely to be incredibly sore!

Your daughter arriving on the 5th of June might just mean she wanted to come and meet you early, which im sure you know sometimes happens. You can never actually pin down the date of a babys arrival only they make that decision. I think you should enjoy your new little on and stop worrying 20 days early is very common. Congrats by the way
Lisa

Hi
I've just found out I'm 4 weeks pregnant with number 3, yey!!

I had pre menstrual type pains with all pregnancies - apparently it's the embryo embedding into the uterus - so try not to worry.

Hi,

I have just found out on Sat that I am pregnant. I am 29 and at 18 I was told that I would never be able to have children with out medical help so complete shock for me! I have done a clear blue test and it makes me 1-2 weeks, I have been getting loads of symptons, all the norm that you hear about like sore boobs, nausea and tiredness but I have also been getting feelings as though I am about to come on my period. Is this normal? This isn't a symptom I have heard of before. Obviously hearing that I am pregnant when I thought it was something that would never happen is one of the best things to happen to me and now I am worried I am going to lose this before it has actually began. Please can someone tell me if they had those feelings too and carried on to have a normal and healthy pregnancy.

Hi All,
Having missed my period a few weeks ago I did my 4th test this morning and finally got a pregnancy confirmation! i just thought i woudl share that as a lot of you on here are also getting negative results even though you feel you are pregnant. It is very possible to get a false negative!!! I have used various tests (this is my third pregnancy) and have got false negative with lots of brands even when they are supposedly accurate from the date of your period. In fact I actually got a negative result from the doctor and then he called back a few days later and said the lab report showed i was pregnant. I did a Clearblue test last week and it was negative and this morning it is saying 2-3 weeks!

Also in answer to tiny83 - sore breasts and tiredness are absolutely symptoms that I notice when pregnant. Even in the first few weeks. For me the tiredness lasts 8-12 weeks but the soreness does fade quickly.

Anyway good luck to everyone who is trying and for those of you already pregnant i hope you have an easy 9 months and a beautiful healthy baby at the end of it! Now i'm off to give my husband a bit of a shock....

@ edolly, it's lovely you can give hope to other people who are disappointed with trying and trying and almost feel like giving up. I always thought becoming pregnant was supposed to be the easy bit. Me and my husband have a son (coming up to 6 yrs old) and got pregnant by accident with him when i was 17. A year and a half ago we started trying for a second baby and only just now have i managed to get pregnant!! i tried not to think about it too much because i know stressing out and getting frustrated is bad but its so hard not too when you have been trying so long and when 1st time round we didnt have to try at all! good luck with your pregnancy, when r u due, mine is roughly 11th jan.

I wanted to give some inspiring words to any women/ couples who are trying for a baby and not having much success. My partner and I had been trying for a year and half and had recently gone down the IVF route. We had just been told that I had v low AMH levels and probably couldnt concieve on r own. We were waiting for the appointment to start treatment in July! I was 3 days late and did a cheap pregnancy test that I had form months ago when I stil thought it would happen! It was positive... Tried again with a clear blue.... positive! only 4/5 weeks but am praying to God that he keeps this amazing gift safe and healthy.. never give up hope and good luck everyone.... x

The 2-3 on the test is the number of weeks since conception. 5 weeks is the number of weeks pregnant u are. They always date from the first day of ur last period although u don't convince to around two weeks later. Hope that makes sence and congratulations on ur pregnancy :)

ive just found out im pregnant the only reason i did the tests was because i suffered heart burn for 1whole day and my breasts have been tender mind you we have been tryin for near enough a year after coming off my pill which i was on for 7years. i did a cheap test then sent my partner to the shop for a clearblue test which came up 3+weeks which actually means 5+weeks I must say i didnt understand why we have to work it out from our 1st day of our last period as wouldnt that have been us releasing unfertalized eggs in our last period so that also means we wouldnt have conceived at this date ?? confused but yes i also went on what i was told to do

@Autumn Treasure

I'm so sorry to hear about your boyfriend's change of heart. Emotions cannot just be turned on and off.

With regards to your situation and whether you could be pregnant. I have been trying to get pregnant since May last year (I'm currently 7 weeks now after two previous miscarriages). I have been using the Clearblue Ovulation Test machine which is great and it has allowed me to chart my most fertile days.

I'm averaging a 32 to 33 day cycle most months and my fertile days vary from day 12* to day 20 but seem strongest between day 16 to day 19. My day 12* high result was on a 23 day cycle, very soon after coming off the pill so it could be a bit of a red herring.

I understand the average ovulation is around 2 weeks after the first day of your period i.e. day 14. On a slightly longer cycle I'm coming out at day 16 onwards.

If you are only at day 14 now then chances are you'll be ok. The main risk would be if you had sex in the last day or so and you ovulate at around two weeks.

The Clear Blue pregnancy test is very accurate from before you're due, but I would recommend you test on the day your period is due just for that peace of mind.

Good luck.

Just really want to no what I

Hi, I turned 46 in January and after 2 (unsuccessful) rounds of IVF last year (June and November), I have found out I am pregnant (6 weeks). Absolutely estatic but have concerns, as I have a history of fibroids (I had abdominal myomectomies in 2007 and 2010). As I am still quite early, I keep on being advised not to say anything until 12 weeks but how difficult is that? I work in law and often lift heavy files and boxes. I can understand obviously because of the risks associated with pregnancy at my age but, so far, so good - my HCG reading was 7000 and I'm about to have another blood test tonight, with my first scan next week. Problem is, I am now worried about miscarriage, etc etc. Any advice?

I am looking for some advice, my girlfriend of 4 months told me she was pregnant at the beginning of feb. We had agreed on a termination and the consultation was yesterday. At the consultation my girlfriend was told that she was actually 22 weeks along and too far along for the termination. She is confused as this puts the date of conception in mid October and she has had periods since that time. She stopped seeing her previous boyfriend late September and we didn't start seeing each other until mid November and there was no sexual activity until late November early December and no intercourse until January. My queries are how accurate are the dates determined by an Ultrasound? Also my girlfriend does not eat very much, usually just one meal a day, could this affect the size of the foetus and throw of the scan date?

However, am not sure if it's just for Manchester - so worth maybe checking out with your local triage/maternity unit?

Good luck everyone xx

Hi Casseroll. Just do a test! If it's negative you know and can get on with life. If it's positive, fantastic! If you're anything like me, once the ideas in your head you can't stop thinking about it, so get on and find out girly. Set your mind at rest one way or the other.

I had cramp like feelings for the first few weeks. Found it difficult to tell the difference between that and normal period pains and PMT to be honest. Still got sore boobs, although the cramping has stopped.

For the other lady who has done a couple of tests and they're negative, perhaps try using your first wee of the day. Providing you're using the test correctly they're very, very accurate so unlikely to give an incorrect result providing your period is late. If your period is really late and the test is still saying negative, it's time for a trip to the GP for a chat I would say.

Hope this helps. Good luck ladies.

Hey. I'm another person who found out on Valentines day! Had been feeling rough with a nasty cold which didn't want to go. Had been taking a cocktail of meds to help with it.....oops. NHS direct were really through and reassuring on that account. Thought I would do a test just to get the idea out of my head that I might be pregnant. Burst in to tears when the +'ve appeared on the test. We'd been trying for over a year and I'd begun to give up on the idea. Still don't really believe it. Have first midwife appointment next week. Don't think i'll really think it's real until I have the first scan......must be some mistake! GP was lovely, not much to say though really at this stage....'don't eat this, take that, we'll get you a midwife appointment, let us know immeadiately if there's any bleeding'.... Fingers crossed it's not some terrible mistake. Good luck all other valentines babies!

I also found out I was pregnant on Valentines day. I did a home pregnancy test. When I went to my doctor I was surprised to discover she felt no need to do a retest to confirm and simply said I believe you. Last Thursday I woke up to discover I was bleeding old blood (dark brown as though your finishing your period). It was not in line with my period dates so it was quite scary. I planned not to tell my mum but found that I had to because I was so confused and scared. I went to the early pregnancy unit at hospital and had a scan. Bleeding is a possible sign of miscarriage. Old blood is not so bad but new red blood is not a good sign. Stomach pains is also a bad sign but luckily i did not have this problem. When I had the scan they found a heart beat but the baby is a little smaller than expected so I have been called back for another scan in 2 weeks to confirm the baby is developing fine. Wish me luck!

Hi, Just reading some of your comments. I also found out i was pregnant on valentines day. I phoned my doctors and the receptionist told me to make an appointment which i did. I had heard that i didn't need to see the doctor just ask for a referal to the midwife, so i phoned back. Got another receptionist who told me that this was true and to bring a sample in, i asked if i could do that straight away and i gave them one within the following 10 minutes. I returned 2 day's later without an appointment and the receptionist told me it was positive, told me a rough due date and booked my midwife appointment there and then. therefore to kellilsti comment on the 21st call your GP's back and ask to do the same. This is obviously my first pregnancy and although we planned it and extremly excited, i do keep getting anxious thoughts - i'm sure you know the type i've been told it's normal. Fingers crossed for the midwife on the 28th March!

Good news is that the bleeding hasn't gotten any heavier and my period pains have disappeared but not sure if that's a good sign as i've had pain throughout. Any ideas peeps?

I do think its bad that the calculator on the NHS website adjusts for the number of days of your cycle, yet the NHS midwifes have to use a standard 40 weeks with no adjustment (unless you have a dating scan)- a distinct lack of consistency across the departments

For an NHS website, this pregnancy planner section is not very good. Some sections are OK, but others need to be improved. For example, there should be a way to simply 'Change your due date' without having to go off lasy period date. This is because women will get a more precise due date at their 12 week, and/or 20 week scan.

Similarly, when I miscarried twice this year, there was no way to tell the site that I'd miscarried other than to delete my account. It's an upsetting time as it is.

Pregnancy websites which do both of the above and I'd highly recommend:

http://www.whattoexpect.com
http://www.babycentre.co.uk/

Come on NHS - improve this website!!

The reason for that is very few people actually know the date they conceived. We were lucky, as circumstances at the time narrowed it down to one event - so to speak. But it could still be up to 5 days later than that, as sperm can live that long inside the female's body.

By using the date of your last normal period, it means everyone can use the same scale. Think how confusing it would be if someone said they were 10 weeks pregnant (gestationally) but another lady at the same stage said 12 weeks as she was using the last normal period. Both women would be expecting their babies around the same time, which is actually all we need to know. That's why people tend to use the period date, makes it easier for everyone.

And since only about 3 in 10 babies are actually born on their due date, I don't think that 2 weeks matters too much. A first baby tends to stay in longer anyway. Only baby knows!

From what i have been advsied, you need to know the date of you last period. The date you actually started your period not the day you finished. It seems a bit strange because you may only get pregnant in the middle of that month so you are two wks out straight away. But i just went of what the NHS site said and the nurse.
