Questions and answers - exercise and healthy kids
Here are some common questions and answers; you might find something that you wanted to ask here.
My kids are different ages with different interests. How do I keep them busy?
“Try getting the older ones to teach the younger ones new skills. Ten- to 13-year-olds have moved on from basic skills such as running, catching and jumping - but they could pass on what they know to the younger ones.”
My kids just want to lie on the sofa and watch TV. What can I do?
"Because Jack used to come home from school and just sit and watch TV, I decided to introduce 2 hours max TV time. Now he gets to watch his favourite programmes and we have time to play games after dinner instead."
I don’t have enough time to play with my kids. What should I do?
“It’s tricky to balance work and play time. But now I’ve introduced some activities into our everyday routine, we spend less time thinking about what to do, and get on with having fun! Just walking to the shops instead of driving or playing games in the garden during summer has made a huge difference to our relationship.”
