NHS Choices is the online 'front door' to the NHS. It is the best single source of information for people wanting to compare not only hospital performance but their facilities, too. This is a unique opportunity for every NHS trust and Independent Sector Provider in England to manage its own profile page on NHS Choices.
Having a profile allows NHS trusts to edit and upload their own content, including images and videos. It also provides an opportunity for trusts to display specialist services and promote them to their local communities and potential patients from further afield.
The new profile manager for acute trusts, independent sector providers and mental health trusts is now live on NHS Choices (www.nhs.uk). The new system replaces the current content management system NWW.
The new profile manager is intuitive and easy to use. The editing pages now look and feel like the front end and updates are made in real time making it easier for users to manage and amend their profile. The new system also allows users to provide additional information about their services and facilities and the ability to upload Quality Accounts.
