Venous thromboembolism (VTE) prevention 

VTE is a collective term for deep vein thrombosis (DVT) – a blood clot that forms in the leg - and pulmonary embolism (PE) – a blood clot in the lungs. It is a potentially fatal condition that can affect anyone. This video tells the story of ex-England Goalkeeper Paul Robinson who developed a pulmonary embolism 5 days after having a routine operation.
