STRENGTH AND FLEXIBILITY SIT TO STAND WITH CALF RAISE

Stand in front of the bench, ready to sit down on the edge.

Keep your feet hip width apart and toes pointing forwards.

Extend your arms in front of you for balance.

To start the move, slowly sit back, leading with your bottom

but keeping your back straight.

As soon as you make contact with the bench,

stand up and rise on to the balls of your feet

in a slow, controlled manner to finish with a calf raise.

As you rise on to the balls of your feet,

take care not to let your ankles lean out.
