NHS Funded - Flu Vaccination available from October to January - if registered with a Hackney GP and meet the following Criteria:

65 years old and over
Pregnant
Have a serious medical condition (including diabetes, heart/chest/kidney conditions)
Are living in a long-stay residential care home or other long-stay care facility (not including prisons, young offender institutions or university halls of residence)
Arre the main carer for an elderly or disabled person whose welfare may be at risk if you fall ill
A frontline health or social care worker

In Hackney this is known as ''Pharmacy First'' - which means that pharmacy should be the first port of call if you any of the following minor ailments

NHS Funded - Chlamydia Testing service available FREE for under 24 years or buy the kit over the counter if over 24 years

NHS Funded - Chlamydia Treatment FREE if have been tested if living in City & Hackney and under 24 years

Stop smoking services

NHS provided Services - We have a comprehensive support Service to help give up smoking - The support is over 12 weeks provided FREE and paid for the NHS -We can give you Nicotine Replacement Therapy (Nicotine Patches, Nicotine Chewing Gum, Nicotine Nasal Spray, Nicotine Lozenges, Nicotine Inhalator) or you require Varenicline (Champix Tabs). We have many trained Level 2 advisors who see you once a week over 12 weeks. The Medications is FREE if you are exempt from prescription services but if you do pay for your prescriptions then it is advisable to buy a pre-payment certificate from the following website: http://www.nhsbsa.nhs.uk/HealthCosts/Documents/HealthCosts/FP95_0607.pdf and Pay £29.10 for all your medicines for the 12 weeks - Call us for an informal chat and come and pick up a leaflet. The evidence in our practice is that if you take up our support you are 4 times more likely to give up smoking!

Weight loss services

We can Help you loose weight need to meet the following criteria:
Are you registered with a GP in Hackney
Do you have a BMI of between 30-39 - Not quite sure what this come and have your BMI and Blood Pressure checked
Tried a lot of different things to loose weight and have not succeeded
We give you support over 6 months - Seen once a week for the 1st month then once every 2 weeks for the next 2 months then once a month for the next 3 months
Will also give orlistat (Xenical) caps as part of the treatment
To enrol must have a chat with us and complete a questionnaire and will then check for eligibility
Will refer you to a GYM on the NHS - free initially and then at a very subsidised rate for a number of months before paying the full amount
