Pharmacy services

Terrys Pharmacy is a specialist in the preparation of Montored Dosage Systems (MDS). These are boxes designed to hold medications for a patient in seperate compartments for a particular time of a particular day. It is normally split into four different times of the day (rows) split over seven days (columns). The aim is to aid compliance and concordance with medications patients are taking, as patients can take the appropriate slot of medication for that day and that time. There is a much less chance of a patient forgetting to take any medication, or overdosing by accident. Please call or enquire within the pharmacy for further information.

Stop smoking services

At Terrys Pharmacy, we run a Stop Smoking Service which includes support from a trained member of staff and provision of Nicotine Replacement Therapies (NRTs) at a subsidised cost to the patient (unless the patient is entitled to free prescriptions, where there is no charge). NRTs include nicotine-containing patches, lozenges, gums, quick mist sprays, inhalators, nasal sprays, and microtabs. The health benefits of stopping smoking are well known, and it is true that by stopping at any time will help prolong life, and the sooner one stops the higher their chances of living longer. Please do give us a call or come into the pharmacy in person if you wish to join the service or require any further information.
