The Department of Sexual & Reproductive Health provides contraception, reproductive and sexual health services for men and women of all ages, including young people under 16.
Services are provided from four clinics across the borough of Lewisham, which are available to everyone, regardless of address or GP. The clinics are open 6 days-a-week and operate on a walk-in basis. Details of clinics are shown below. Maps showing clinic locations are available on our Knowledge is Power website: www.kisp.org.uk.
What services are available?
The Department of Sexual & Reproductive Health provides a wide range of specialist services:
- All methods of contraception; including long acting reversible methods (IUD, IUS, contraceptive implant, contraceptive injection) information on methods on www.kisp.org.uk
- Condoms ( a range of condoms, advice and support on condom use)
- Tests and treatment for sexually transmitted infections
- Treatment of non sexually transmitted genital infections
- Chlamydia screening for all young people under the age of 25
- Rapid HIV testing( Finger prick testing with results in less than a minute)
- Advice and support for young people
- Pregnancy testing
- Advice and counselling for unplanned pregnancy
- Referral for termination of pregnancy
- Psychosexual problems (for Lewisham residents)
- Fertility awareness teaching (natural family planning), offered by referral to one of our specialist fertility awareness nurses (for Lewisham residents)
