Formerly known as Burslem, Haywood and Tunstall War Memorial Hospital, Haywood Hospital was officially opened by Lord and Lady Harrowby on 21st October 1930.  In September 2010 the Haywood Hospital was reopened to patients after major redevelopment work.  This Hospital provides a range of services to patients including:

  • Bone densitometry
  • Daily DVT service
  • Fracture clinic
  • Imaging/x-ray
  • Intermediate care and older people’s services
  • Limb fitting service
  • Occupational therapy
  • Outpatient clinics (ENT, Dermatology and others)
  • Pharmacy
  • Physiotherapy
  • Podiatry
  • Rehabilitation medicine (inpatient ward and outpatients)
  • Rheumatology (inpatient ward and outpatients)
  • Walk-in centre

The Haywood Hospital also has specialist services for rheumatology and specialist rehabilitation.
