Visiting hours

Newquay Community Hospital is running a pilot to open up its wards for longer to visitors. The hospital welcomes visitors to come and have a meal with their family member.

Opening times have been extended from 12pm to 9pm to enable family and friends to maintain contact with their loved one's, which we believe is essential, especially for those with Dementia.

Minor Injury Unit

The Minor Injury Unit open every day between 8am and 10pm and 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays in July and August. Contact: 01637 834820

There are minimal shop facilities so we suggest you bring toiletries, change of clothes and foot wear, medicines, book/magazines.  We recommend that money is restricted between £5 and £10 for safe keeping.

There is disabled parking and  level access to the main reception at the front of the hospital.  There is ramp access to both the Podiatry Bungalow and the Dental buidling.  There is wheelchair access in the rear car park Trelawney Wing access.

Infection control

To help us to reduce the spread of infection, we ask visitors

  • to use alcohol hand gel on arrival and departure
  • if you have experienced vomitting and diarreah within the last 48 hours please avoid visiting any health care settings
