Watford General Hospital is a large acute hospital offering first class emergency care, as well as providing a full range of other services, including maternity, outpatients, specialist wards and sexual health.
Our 120-bed emergency building delivers fast assessment and diagnosis by a senior doctor and is supported by a state-of-the art Intensive Care Unit. Two catheterisation labs offer a treatment for heart attack patients that can significantly enhance their chances of survival.
We are proud of our children’s service, which offers a complete package of specialist care, including a large Children’s Emergency Department, staffed by specially trained children’s doctors and nurses.
