PATIENT NEWSLETTER

JANUARY 2012

The staff at the surgery would like to wish all our patients a Happy New Year.

We are pleased to announce that Dr Kate Wishart and Dr Richard Spiers will be working part time with us for the foreseeable future. Both are very experienced doctors,  Dr Wishart  is also Associate Dean, for the East of England Deanery.

Building Work

Starting from Monday 30th January 2012, work will take place to replace the

roof   of the practice. This is likely to take approximately two months during which time we will work hard to minimise any disruption to services. This work forms part of our ongoing commitment to provide the highest quality of care within a safe and comfortable environment.

Blood Test Appointments

At the last Patient Participation meeting on 1st December 2011, we were asked if

booking blood test using the automated telephone system could be made available. We have arranged this for a pilot period of 4 weeks starting 7th February

until 6th March; every Tuesday morning appointments can be booked with Mrs Mel

Enness, Health Care Assistant. This option is available when you telephone 01733 264506, select option 2.

Patient Participation Group

We are looking for patients to join our Patient Participation Group. A number of patients have already expressed an interest in getting involved but we are keen for more patients to sign up.  The Patient Participation Group will work closely with the Doctors and Practice Manager to enable patients to provide feedback on a range of health related issues.

Meetings will be held on a regular basis at the surgery and there will be an opportunity for you to get involved in the larger Borderline Commissioning Custer Patient Group if you wish to. Minutes of the last meeting can be found on our website, a copy on the Patient Participation group notice board in our waiting room, or you can request a copy from our reception. Our next meeting will be in the next two months, the time and date will be displayed on both website and within the practice.
