On line prescription requests

It is now possible to order your prescriptions on-line.

You will need to register to use this service in the same way that you do for online appointment booking by bringing in 2 forms of ID to reception. If you are already registered for on-line appointments then you do not need to do anything else.

NEW INR CLINIC

From March 2011 we will be running our own in-house INR testing clinic. This means that patients can leave the surgery with their INR result and know their dosing regime. Clinics will be held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

Registration changes

We are currently transferring patients who were registered with Dr Harris to our two new doctors Dr Anna Lambert and Dr Rachel Charles. All this means is that the name of your registered doctor will change - you can still see the doctor of your choice at the practice.

Patient Group

We have a patient participation group at the practice. At any one time there can be up to 12 members (we operate a waiting list if there are no spaces). If you are interested in joining, please contact our Reception Supervisor Sharon Grinter for further information. We are particularly keen to get representation from the polish community so please get in touch if you would like to find out how you can be involved. Even if you are not able to attend the meetings, obtaining your views via other methods would be extremely useful to us.

Appointment System and Telephone Changes

We are aware that there have been some difficulties in getting through to us on the 'phone first thing in a morning. We have started to have ALL staff members answering the phones first thing and we hope that you will see an improvement in the call answering times. We are also aware that there are some issues with the expected waiting times on the 'phones. We have asked our telephone engineers to look at this and hope the problems will be resolved shortly.

Appointments System Changes

We have modified the system to help people get an on the day appointment with their usual GP without it being an emergency appointment. So we now have appointments to book weeks in advance, a few days in advance and on the day all with the GP of choice as well as on the day urgent appointment slots with the duty doctor.
