Overview

Chatfield Health Care is an NHS practice in the NHS South West London area and provides family doctor services for patients living within Clapham Junction, West Battersea and Wandsworth. We are a four GP partnership practice occupying purpose-built premises with full disabled access, designed to facilitate the best possible primary health care in the area. The practice is part of the Wandle Local Commissioning Group.

Chatfield Health Care (formerly Winstanley Group Practice) is the result of the merging of our two former sites at Winstanley Road, Battersea and Old York Road, Wandsworth in February 2004 and the addition of Dr Pattabhi's practice based on Lavender Hill in December 2004. We now provide care for a patient population of just under 11,000.

Out of hours

If you live in Wandsworth, the surgery is closed and you have an urgent medical problem that cannot wait until the surgery re-opens dial 1-1-1 to access the NHS 111 out of hours service, which is free to call from both landlines and mobiles.

If, for any reason, you are unable to access NHS 111 by dialling 1-1-1, please call 020 3402 1125 instead. Calls to this number are charged at your network's standard rates.

Additional information

Late evening and Saturday morning surgeries are by appointment only. Appointments can be booked on the day or up to six weeks in advance by calling the surgery between 8:00am - 6:30pm, Monday to Friday. While our 084 telephone number is a lo-call number and beneficial in that it provides additional telephone lines, therby reducing the time you are held waiting in a que, some mobile phone callers may be subject to higher costs on some contracts. If this affects you the surgery also provides a daily ring back service for all patients on request, including for those who require a telephone consultation with a doctor. Many of Chatfield Health Care's day to day services can also be accessed online at no charge or by fax. Appointments can be booked on-line via the Practice website - please ask a receptionist for details of your unique reference number that will allow access to this service.
