Adderley Green Surgery wishes to thank all of our patients for their continued support.  We also welcome  Dr. David Weldon to the GP team on a permament basis from November 2013. We have made a number of improvements to our premises since Dr. Sri took over the practice in April 2012 and hope that this has made your visit a much more  welcoming and comfortable experience.  We still have some work to do, so any ideas or suggestions about what you would like to see would be welcomed.

As an alternative to seeing your GP, why not try the Pharmacy First Scheme.  They are able to offer a wide range of treatments, free of charge for patients who do not normally pay for prescriptions.  Take a look at the attached poster for conditions that they are able to treat.  Please note that the scheme has been extended until the end of June 2014.

Appointments System

We have been carefully monitoring our appointments system, which revealed that the majority of patients who book appointments in advance fail to attend, amounting to the practice losing about 20 appointments each week.  We have now re-designed our appointments system to offer patients easier access when urgent appointments are required and to reduce the rate of patients not attending.   A number of pre-bookable appointments are available for both morning and evening surgeries and can be booked in advance for up to 6 weeks for routine appointments.  The remainder of appointments are same day bookings which can be booked from 8.30am onwards.  A few on-line appointments will be available soon.

We now offer early morning appointments starting from 7.30am on Tuesday and Thursday mornings which may be booked in advance.

We have taken on board the review posted regarding the appointments system and will continue to monitor the effectiveness  of the new system.

Please do not hesitate to speak to us directly if you have any comments or suggestions for any further improvements, we greatly value the views and opinions of our patients.
