Patients Failing to Attend Appointments

We are currently reviewing the number of appointments being wasted by patients that fail to attend and are disappointed to note that 263 appointments were wasted in this way during February 2010 alone.

We hope that our patients will call to cancel any appointments they no longer require so that they may be offered to other patients that need them.

This problem is being addressed by the practice and we are writing to patients that regularly fail to attend appointments.  Those patients that continue to behave in this way reduce appointment availabilty for others and may be asked to leave our patient list.

New Premises Development

As you may well be aware the centre of Swindon is due for exentsive redevelopment over the next decade. The surgery site is no exception to this. The plan is for a new health centre to be built. Plans are at a pretty early stage at the moment but we are not expecting to move before 2009. The latest location that has been proposed is on the site of the old police station but anything could still change!
