Flu Vaccine - October 6th 2012

Don't forget your Flu vaccination this October. Please make sure you come on the 6th October at the Ridgeway or make an appointment for another more conveniet time for you. If in October you plan to come for your review or a standard appointment to see the nurse or doctor please inform reception you would like a flu jab and they will inform the nurse or doctor.

Launch of Ridgeway Surgery Patient Group

Summer 07 saw the launch of Ridgeway Surgery Patient Group The Group was formed to promote patient health, providing support to assist this objective wherever needed. The second objective is to provide the doctors and staff with the views of their patients and therefore help the development of the Surgery and its services. The NHS has recognised that patient involvement in GP practices is a natural way to ensure that both patients and doctors obtain maximum benefit from the NHS. The Group has been encouraged by the Surgery but is independent of it so as to represent the patients more effectively.

July 2012 Update

Following Patient Survey March 2012, we have added a Blood Pressure machine in the Waiting Room, which is situated next to the Weighing Scales with BMI charts and further health related information. In June, we added a free WiFi for the use of our patients. All this and more will be shortly available in our new RSPG newsletter.

As of July 19th, our patients can now sign up to book or cancel appointment on-line and sign up for a SMS/Text messaging service. This service alerts patients to appointments, Medicine Usage Reviews, Annual Health checks, and much, much more.
