Patient Survey 2012

Thanks to all our patients who took part in the Patient Survey in February 2012. The results are now available at http://www.bicesterhc.co.uk/ppg.htm
Our Patient Reference Group (PRG) have been looking at the results and are working with the practice to make some improvements as a result of your feedback.

Last updated on 22 June 2012.

Would you join us?

The Patient Reference Group, or PRG, is a new initiative to encourage patient feedback and participation in decisions about a variety of practice services. The primary aim of this group is to establish a “cross-section” of the practice population so that everybody’s views may be heard. We would be very grateful if as many patients as are able to could apply to join the group - this is the only way we will get a group that is truly representative of the Practice population and of patient views.

Members of the PRG will have the opportunity to vote on the  topics which they would like to discuss. At the Health Centre,  the PRG will be a "virtual" group.

The opinions of the PRG will be collected using online surveys, and you will be notified by email when the next survey is ready for completion.

We can also provide the surveys on paper by post and they will also be available at the surgery in the waiting room.

The results of these surveys will be collated by the practice and members of the PRG will have an opportunity to comment on the results. Discussions about the survey results and any changes to be implemented to practice services as a result will be sent back to PRG members, who may submit their comments via email or post to be considered.

The Health Centre plans to conduct 2-3 email surveys before March 2012. Following the results of surveys and consultation with the PRG, a report detailing the entire process of establishing the PRG and the surveys and discussions it has undertaken will be published on the practice’s website.

Repeat Prescriptions - Update

From 6 June 2011, the Health Centre website at http://www.bicesterhc.co.uk will have a secure form for ordering repeat prescriptions. This ensures only you and the surgery can access the information you provide. You don't need to do anything different to use the new secure form; it will appear in place of the current version.

From the same date, we will cease to accept e-mail requests for repeat prescriptions, as e-mail is a less secure way to transfer personal information.
