Swine Flu Vaccination Clinics

Updated 28th October 2009.

Swine Flu Vaccination Clinics will commence on Monday 30th November 2009. Shortly we will sending out approximately 900 letters to patients who are in Priority Group One (see below for definitions). They will be asked to either telephone or call into surgery to make an appointment. Please note that unlike the seasonal flu campaign we are unable to offer drop in clinics. Each appointment will be of 10 minutes duration. Please note that only the at risk patients will be vaccinated in the order listed below.

Priority Group One: Patients aged from 6 months to 65 years of age with

  • Diabetes
  • Asthma
  • COPD
  • Ischaemic Heart Disease
  • Renal Failure
  • Stroke
  • Liver Diseaes

Priority Group Two:

  • All Pregnant Women

Priority Group Three:

  • Immunocompromised Individuals

Priority Group Four:

  • Patients aged over 65 with diseases listed in Priority Group One.

These groups have been indentified by the Department of Health because they are at highest risk of severe illness should they contract the swine flu virus.
