Overview

Overview

Gifford’s is a long established, well organised Practice with 14,000 patients founded in 1947 by the joining together of three single handed practices- Drs Spence, Kier and Campbell.
The practice moved to its current purpose built surgery in August 2000 and we offer a wide range of services.

The surgery is situated in the market town next to the community hospital which provides X-ray facilities, physiotherapy, OT and other out patient clinics. We have the Health Visitor Team based in the surgery and the Midwife runs clinics two days a week from the surgery.
Our practice area covers Melksham and the surrounding areas including Atworth, Shaw, Whitley, Holt, Keevil, Broughton Gifford, Semington and Lacock.

We have a dedicated team of staff working together to provide the best possible care to our patients. We currently have 8 Doctors (4 male and 4 female) working at the surgery along with 2 Nurse Practitioners, 3 Practice Nurses and 4 Healthcare Assistants.
We also have a strong administrative team of 21 staff overseen by the Practice Manager.
