Change in Doctors

Dr Collins joined the practice as a partner on 24 August 2009 taking over Dr Bashir’s list.

 

 

Dr Goyal joined the practice as a partner on 7 September 2009.  With effect from 1 October Dr Goyal will be taking over most of Dr Lambley’s list.

 

 

Dr Rocque joined the practice on 4 November 2009.  I am sure you will all join us in welcoming Dr Rocque back to the practice.

We welcome your feedback, good or bad.  If you have any comments to make please let us know in person, by telephone or in writing, whatever method suits you.

 

If you wish to make a complaint we have a complaints leaflet available from reception.  In the first instance please contact the Office Manager, Gill Hulf.  If necessary complaints will be escalated to the Practice Manager, Judith Williams.

We would like to know who all our carer’s are to ensure we can offer them support (practical and emotional).

Training Practice

Do you know we are a training practice?

 

This means that we have Registrars working with us (usually a year at a time) while they undertake their Specialist Training in readiness for a career as a GP.

 

It also means that we are scrutinised regularly by the Oxford Deanery to make sure our patient care, protocols, processes and records are up to scratch. 

 

We hope you appreciate the high standard of care this registration requires.

Practice Name

After the retirement of Dr Lambley at the end of September 2009 the practice has now entered a new phase. 

 

Having invited the patients to suggest new names for the practice, the most popular choice was Stony Medical Centre. This name will remain with the practice for years to come and will become synonymous with great primary care in Stony Stratford and the surrounding areas.

 

The practice also has a new website: www.stonymedicalcentre.co.uk
