Overview

Welcome to Abernethy House Surgery

Abernethy House Surgery is a well established GP surgery situated near Enfield town centre in a purpose built premises. The surgery has a complement of eight doctors, four nurses, a healthcare assistant and several supporting staff (receptionists, secretaries, switchboard operators, etc.). We work closely with a strong team of community services including community nurses, community matrons, domiciliary phlebotomy and palliative care teams.

At Abernethy House Surgery, we provide first class modern healthcare services. We strive to provide the highest possible standard of patient care and treatment. We are committed to promoting wellness and aim to prevent disease. We believe that everyone should be treated with dignity and respect and that patients should be at the center of their healthcare team. We understand that we have a duty to listen and appreciate your concerns and provide you with resources to enable you to make your own lifestyle and healthcare decisions that will optimize your well being. We value all patients of different ages, backgrounds and cultures.

We are also a GP training practice striving to help future GPs learn how to provide an excellent quality of care for patients as they start their career .

You may be asked to attend the emergency treatment centre at Chase Farm Hospital.

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call NHS Direct(0845 4647) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
