Overview

Appointments are put on the system every Friday afternoon for a two week period. Each day there will be thee pre bookable appointments in the morning and the afternoon. There are also three EMIS Access Appointments for each surgery at the beginning and end of each consultation for each GP. If you would like to sign up for EMIS Access so that you can book your appointments "On Line" then please ask the Receptionist at your normal surgery for a Form for EMIS Access to Register. All other appointments are "Book on the Day". If you are being specific as to which GP you want to see then you may have to wait a couple of days to see that particular GP. If there are no appointnments available on the day you should ask for a Telephone Consultation. The Receptionist will Triage all calls coming in to the surgery and ask you for a few details and your contact telephone number. You will be channelled through to the appropriate Health Care Professional who will be able to help you. The Health Care Professional will ring you during the morning or afternoon surgery and if the Health Care Professional thinks that it is necessary , you will be asked to attend the surgery for a consultation but you may have to wait a while to be seen
