CHANGES TO THE APPOINTMENT SYSTEM FROM THE 1st OCTOBER 2012
After much consideration and deliberation a decision has been made to change the way in which patients book appointments at Tenbury Surgery.
Patients will now be able to pre-book appointments with the doctor of their choice in the morning as well as the afternoon.
If it is an urgent problem patients are still able to present at the surgery from 08.00am, or to ring up at 09.00am and have an appointment with the Duty doctor on the day. These will be short appointments for the urgent problems only.
PATIENTS WITH URGENT PROBLEMS WILL ALWAYS BE SEEN.
By moving to pre-bookable morning appointments it will allow more choice for patients in terms of when they would like to see the doctor. It will reduce the amount of time patients have to wait both in the surgery to be seen on the day, and reduce waiting times for appointments with a GP of the patient’s choice.
Timed appointments will be given out, however please be aware that due to the nature of the work the doctors undertake there can sometimes be delays, and patients may not be seen at the exact appointment time they were given by the reception staff.
