Horton NHS Treatment Centre is operated by Ramsay Health Care UK – one of the largest providers of private healthcare in the country.  You can choose to have your NHS orthopaedic care at Horton NHS Treatment Centre under the Governments’ Choice Programme. We accept patients aged 16 years and over.

Horton NHS Treatment Centre opened in 2006 and has gained an excellent reputation for delivering high quality healthcare.  Located in Banbury, Oxfordshire the purpose built Treatment Centre has been designed to combine an exceptional standard of patient accommodation with the technical equipment and facilities that modern medicine demands.

All patients are seen by a Consultant, not a junior doctor and diagnostic facilities (X-ray, ultrasound, MRI and DEXA) are available on site.  A team of physiotherapists work closely with our Consultants and nursing staff to ensure optimum recovery.

The fully equipped, ultra clean air theatre suite comprises three operating theatres all with laminar air flow. These are particularly suitable for orthopaedic surgery such as arthroscopy, hip and knee replacements.  In addition there is a special Day Case unit for those able to go home on the same day their surgery takes place.

We have excellent levels of cleanliness and very effective infection control methods resulting in very low infection rates. All our facilities are regularly inspected and approved by the Care Quality Commission.

Our consultants and nursing staff are highly experienced and have your care and comfort as their highest priority. All patients have the reassurance of knowing that a Resident Medical Officer (RMO) is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Treatment Centre also provides services for private patients – both insured and self-pay – including orthopaedic, back pain and surgery, pain management, oral maxillofacial, cosmetic, physiotherapy, dermatology, allergies, and clinical psychology.
