CLCH provides a free and confidential range of secxual health and contraceptive services to women and men of all ages.
Our services include treatment, advice and assessments related to:
- A range of contraception
- Specialist contraception service for menopausal women and individuals with complex needs
- Pregnancy testing and fertility advice
- Pregnancy advice – pre-pregnancy counselling, counselling for pregnancy decisions
- Referral for termination
- Information and testing for STIs (Sexually Transmitted Infections)
- Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea screening
- Menstrual problems and concerns
- Cervical smears
- Psychosexual counselling and specialist services
How you can access the service
Clinics are held in a range of community based venues. Clinics are available in both daytime and evening sessions. The clinics welcome men and women of all ages.
Appointments are not usually necessary, most clinics run on a ‘drop-in’ basis – however appointments are required for some procedures.
Doctors and nurses in the clinics are fully trained in all aspects of contraception and sexual health issues, and will provide information and expertise to help people make the contraceptive choice that is right for them.

- Combined Oral Contraceptive Pill
- Progesterone only pill
- Implant (by appointment only)
- Coil (IUD) (by appointment only)
- Depot injection
- Cap (diaphragm)
- Condoms
- Emergency Contraception
