Overview

Birmingham Women's is one of only two specialist Trusts in the UK which cares for women and their families.
The Trust, in South Birmingham, provides services for women, men and babies in the West Midlands and beyond. In February 2008, the Trust achieved NHS Foundation Trust Status. More recently the Trust has achieved an excellent rating by PEAT (Patient Environment Action Teams) for Environment, Food and Privacy and Dignity. In October 2009, The Trust was rated 'Good' by the Care Quality Commission for Quality of Services and 'Excellent' for Financial Management. For over seven years running, it has also reported no cases of MRSA bacteraemia (Health Protection Agency report).
