Overview

At QVH we provide specialist reconstructive surgery and expert therapy and rehabilitation services for people across the South of England who have experienced damage or disfigurement as a result of disease (including cancer), trauma, burns, major surgery or a congenital condition.

Our leading consultant teams hold clinics at our hospital site in East Grinstead, West Sussex, and at a wide network of other sites across the South East region.

In addition, we also provide a minor injuries unit and other services for people living in and around East Grinstead.

Our specialties include:

  • plastic surgery (particularly breast, hands, lower limb and skin cancer) and burns
  • head and neck, including maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics and sleep disorders
  • corneoplastics and ophthalmology (eyes)
  • therapies, including dietetics, psychological therapy and speech and language therapy.

In addition to the very best clinical care, we believe that the dignity, comfort and experience of our patients are equally important. We aim to make your stay with us as comfortable and free from anxiety as possible:

Best for patients – We were judged by patient to be one of the best hospitals in the country in the 2011 national inpatient survey.

Most recommended – We were found to be the most recommended NHS hospital in the country according the independent Dr Foster Hospital Guide 2011.

Excellent cleanliness – QVH has one of the lowest rates of hospital acquired infection in the country and scored 9.6/10 for the cleanliness of wards in the 2011 national inpatient survey.

Privacy and respect – In 2011/12, no QVH patients shared sleeping facilities with members of the same sex and patients scored us 9.7/10 for being treated with dignity and respect in the 2011 national inpatient survey.
