Changes to A&E services at Hammersmith Hospital

A&E services at Hammersmith Hospital has now changed

Hammersmith Hospital’s accident and emergency department (A&E) closed on 10 September 2014.

The urgent care centre (UCC) located above Hammersmith Hospital has increased its opening hours to 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The urgent care centre (UCC) can treat a range of urgent, but not life-threatening illnesses and injuries, including sprains and strains, minor burns, cuts and infections, and has access to diagnostic tests like x-rays. In most cases, the UCC will provide care directly, but will refer patients onto appropriate services as necessary. The UCC will soon move to the ground floor where the A&E was located.

If you believe you have a life threatening condition, always call 999 straight away.
