Calderdale Royal Hospital

This modern hospital opened in 2001 and provides a full range of outpatient services, an accident and emergency department and day case surgery. The hospital is the local centre for consultant-led maternity care, neonatal services (for sick and premature babies) and inpatient paediatrics (for children who need to stay at least one night). There are two main car parks available, one by the main entrance at the front of the hospital and the other by the Children’s and Women’s Unit and plans are currently being put in place to further improve car parking. Work is also underway on a £3m state-of-the-art endoscopy unit which should open late in 2010.
