Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust has been awarded Trust of the Year for the North of England by Doctor Foster Intelligence.

The Trust received this accolade in the 2013 Dr Foster Hospital Guide awards.

Doctor Foster, the leading provider of healthcare information in England, named four regional Trusts of the Year after examining all Trusts’ performance with respect to the four main mortality metrics used in the Hospital Guide: Hospital Standardised Mortality Ratio (HSMR), Summary Hospital-level Mortality Indicator (SHMI), deaths in low risk conditions and deaths after surgery.
