Overview

Chorley and South Ribble Hospital has 280 beds. It provides a range of secondary care services including general medicine, surgery, urology and orthopaedics.

The Assessment and Treatment Centre at the hospital enables staff to confirm many patients’ conditions and treatments on the same day, cutting further the time between seeing a consultant, having tests performed, and getting a diagnosis.

It also houses a range of mental health services run by Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust and a recently extended state-of-the-art education centre.
