Set in the picturesque market town of Newark, the hospital, which is part of Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, follows the ethos of providing the best care by the best people in the best place. Our friendly well-trained staff believe in putting the patient first and offer fantastic care to each and every patient, ensuring that your stay in hospital is as stress free as possible. We believe in investing in our hospital and therefore we have a bright clean modern enviornment in which our care is set. We have a dedicated women's centre that offers maternity, gynaecology and breast services. Alongside this we also offer radiology, endoscopy and therapy services as well as three operating suites and a small accident and emergency unit, meaning we really are the hospital that is small enough to care, but large enough to deliver.

What I liked:: The staff on the whole were wonderful. Polite and friendly with a genuine concern for me. I had a hernia operation and was there for a total of 6 hours - fabulous.
What could be improved:: It would've been nice for my patner to stay with me as I was anxious, however I do understand that hospitals must have rules.
Anything else?: The only thing that really bothered me was having to pay over £6 just to park a car whilst I had imperative treatment! Also, I have been late for appointments in the past as I simply cannot park as the car park is so full!
