How has this surgery managed 5 stars - comment added Nov 16

Anything else?

Yet again I have had to constantly ring to get through to the right person. I find the access to this surgery bordering on impossible. It has taken 10 days, 5 phone calls and an email to get a telephone appointment. Apparently the surgery did return one of my calls but didn't leave a message because they don't do that unless they're asked to. Crazy. On previous occasions I have given up and not gone to the doctor for treatment simply because its too difficult to get through. And the receptionists excuse for not phoning back - "we are very busy". 10 days is a long time to wait if you need a doctor for some reason and frankly it might indicate a shortage of staff if they are so busy that it takes 10 days to have a conversation.

Trust Comment

We are very disappointed to hear that you have had a frustrating experience with our Practice. It is never our intention to delay care for our patients and indeed the testament of the vast majority of patient comments submitted to NHS Choices suggests that the service we provide is generally responsive and helpful. This has not been the case for you. As far as I am aware your situation has not been brought to my attention previously, so the first time I have seen it is on NHS Choices. If you would like to contact me at the surgery I will investigate the matters to which you refer.
