I'm now into my sixth day of suffering from what the doctor diagnosed as Norovirus when I struggled to the emergency clinic a couple of days ago. Tried eating some plain food yesterday and all was well for a short while, then I spent the next hour writhing in agony on the bathroom floor, before emptying my stomach and enduring a nasty bout of diarrhoea. I had Norovirus in 2008 and it only lasted a couple of days. So either the diagnosis is wrong or this latest strain of the germ is far more virulent. It would have been great if the symptoms lasted 24 to 48 hours, but as things are I can't imagine ever feeling well again. Hang in there fellow sufferers - I will if you will.
