My Mother suffers this every year for 5 - 9 weeks at a time. It is awful as I feel there is nothing I can do for her. She had been going back and forth to the Doctor and getting nowhere so I turned to the internet. I can up with WC to which she took to the Doctor and he said 'ah yes I think your daughter is correct'. She was given antibiotics but they done little. This year when I called for a script and tried to explain to the receptionist she actually laughed at me and told me 'don;t be silly there is no such thing anymore' I just could not believe my ears. This resulted in my Mother having to wait for an appointment to get a prescription from the Doctor, taking up a valuable space and being infectious she really should not have even been in the surgery!
